SOUTHAMPTON UNIVERSITY
This university had an incident recently with one of their Fume Cupboards. The Fume Cupboard had a Firetrace Dry Powder system installed, and when the tubing ruptured the 4Kg of dry powder was discharged into the fume cupboard via the discharge pipe work and diffusers, extinguishing the fire and raising the alarm through the system pressure switch.
