The control panel for a newly installed process machine had went on fire, fortunately, the damage was kept to the control panel and surrounding area. The company when installing the new control panel also installed a 1 Kg direct Firetrace system. As the software fault from the computerised system on the process machine (that had caused the first fire) was still present, therefore overheating of the component in the control panel occurred again, this time the overheating activated the Firetrace system, which in turn extinguished the fire before it could really start and via the system pressure switch, alerted the building alarm.
